FUTO Post-UTME Screening Date, Procedure 2018/2019 Announced- The Federal University of Technology, Owerri hereby invites candidates who made the University their 1st Choice in 2018/2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and had a minimum score of 180 to apply for Screening.
The Post-UTME registration begins on Wednesday, 4th July 2018 and closes onSaturday 21st July 2018, while the Screening Aptitude test is expected to hold  Monday, July 23, 2018, to Saturday, July 28, 2018 .

Candidates who chose Federal University of Technology, Owerri as First ChoiceUniversity in the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are hereby invited to apply for an aptitude test, provided such candidates scored a minimum of 180 in their UTME.  Those who did not choose FUTO as First Choice University but scored a minimum of 180 in their UTME can also apply on the condition that they visit the JAMB website for a change of Institution.
Application commences on Wednesday, 4th July 2018 and closes on Saturday 21st July 2018
Duration of the Aptitude Test
The Aptitude Test will hold from Monday, July 23, 2018, to Saturday, July 28, 2018.  The specific time and date for individual candidates would be communicated in due course. Method of Application
  1. To apply, follow the steps outlined below:
    1. Visit the University website: futo.edu.ng
    2. Click on Prospective students.
    3. Click on the link; “2018/2019 POST-UTME Application”.
    4. Enter your JAMB Registration Number to generate Payment Invoice containing the Remita Retrieval Reference Number (RRR).
    5. Proceed to any Bank with the payment invoice OR simply pay with your ATM Card.
    6. Return to the Application page and enter your JAMB Registration number again.
    7. Proceed with the completion of the form.
    8. Correctly enter your O’Level results.
    9. Confirm your entries.
    10. Submit your application.
    11. Print out your acknowledgement slip.
    12. Await further communication from the University.
  1. Eligible candidates would be required to pay a processing fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00).
Note:
  1. You must enter a valid mobile number and e-mail address for further communications.
  2. Those who fail to register within the period WILL NOT be qualified for the Aptitude Test.
  3. Any candidate who fails to successfully submit his application online would automatically lose his/her chance of being considered for admission.

FG Scraps HND Certificates In Polytechnics



FG Scraps HND Certificates In Polytechnics- Report reaching liveschoolnews.com.ng has it that the Federal Government has taken a bold decision to abolished the award of Higher National Diploma, HND certificates by Polytechnics.
The decision by the Federal Government to scrapped the award of HND denote that there will be no fresh admission for HND programmes in Polytechnics.
This was made know to newsman by the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu.
According to the the Minister of Education, the award of HND will, therefore, be limited to only the students that are currently admitted for the programmes in Polytechnics across the country.
Speaking to Journalists after the FEC meeting, the Minister of Education, Prof Adamu Adamu announced that “there will be no more award of HND”.
He said: ”After we have exhausted the current students under the programme, there will be no more award of HND. This means that there will be no fresh admission for HND programmes. And in addition, any programme that is not technical will be out of the polytechnics.
Report also has it that,  some of the programs currently being run by the polytechnics that are not technology-based will also be scrapped.
The new policy also states that polytechnics will now be merged with universities to award National Diploma, ND and Bachelor of Technology, BTech.
“About 70 per cent of polytechnic graduates are in the non-technical courses. It is going to be a rigorous implementation programme.”
According to the policy, the Vice Chancellors of the universities will appoint provosts for the polytechnics subject to the ratification of the Universities Councils.
To start the new policy, Yaba College of Technology will now be known as City University of Technology, Yaba, while Kaduna Polytechnic will be known as City University of Technology, Kaduna.
However, the Minister of Education clarifies that the HND certificate will remain a legal tender in Nigeria and holders of such certificate will continue to be recognised as the equivalent of first degree holders without discriminatory remuneration.

BSU Admission Into Part Time Degree Programs 2018/2019 Announced-Application for admission into the 2018/2019 Academic Session for the Bauchi State University Gadau (BASUG) Part Time Degree Programs are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates.
The BASUG part time degree will run for a period of five (5) to (6) years. All lectures for the part time studies will be conducted between weekends or from Fridays, Saturdays and sometimes Sundays. Further, the program may cover vacations. All intending applicants who may not have had the opportunity to be admitted into the regular program will now have the opportunity to earn their various degrees. (A) Five (5) Years Part-Time Program
WAEC/NECO Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSC), General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE O’ Level), National Technical Certificate/National Business Certificate with Credits in five (5) relevant subjects obtained at not more than two sittings. A credit in O’ Level English Language is required for all courses.
(B) Four (4) Years (Extended / Part-Time) Program
Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) with at least Merit in two core/Teaching subjects, GCE ‘A’ Level, OND/HND in relevant areas with at least Lower Credit or Academic Diploma from recognized Universities are required in addition to (A) above.

DELSU Post-UTME Screening Date, Procedure 2018/2019 Announced

DELSU Post-UTME Screening Date, Procedure 2018/2019 Announced- This is to inform all candidates who chose Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) in the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) that:
  1. All candidates who chose DELSU as their first choice of University and scored 180 and above can apply for the 2018/2019 Admission screening.
  2. On-line application will start from 29th June, 2018
  3. Application website closes at 6.00p.m. on 27th July, 2018
  4. The screening will take place at site III, Abraka Campus from 31st July to 4thAugust, 2018.
REQUIREMENT
  1. Candidates are required to visit delsuonline.com to generate a virtual PIN with two thousand naira only (N2,000.0). Evidence of payment (Bank tellers) for Centre Screening (The cost covers honoraria for centre facilitation, logistics for producing screening materials and security). Payment should be made to any of the following banks.
  • Unity Bank
  • UBA
  • Zenith Bank
  • Fidelity Bank
  • Ensure that Jamb Registration Number and Names are correctly entered. Errors will not be entertained.
PROCEDURE TO GENERATE VITUAL PIN
  1. Visit delsuonline.com
  2. Click online Application
  • Click Start
  1. Click screening exercise
  2. Click Start
  3. Complete the form with valid JAMB Registration Number
  • Submit the form and generate PIN
  • Print out the PIN generated
  1. Visit any of ht specified banks for payment
  2. (a). Candidates should with the PIN for payment access and complete the Delta State University, Abraka, 2018 Screening form online at www.delsuonline.com with their recent coloured passport sized photograph scanned to the JPEG format and not more than 20kb in size.
(b). Candidates are advised to use the virtual PIN immediately after payment, as it will be invalid after six (6) hours after its generation.
(c). Candidates are advised to read the instructions on the front page of the website before completing the form.
(d). Candidates must confirm the JAMB registration number at the point of application, as there will be no result for wrong JAMB registration numbers. The University will not be held responsible for wrong JAMB registration number entered and other errors made by any applicant at the point of application. Your application will not be successful if you enter a Local Government /State of origin different from the one indicated on your JAMB registration form.
(e). Candidates must enter a valid mobile phone number and e-mail addresswith which the University will communicate with candidates on dates of screening and venue.

  1. Candidates are to log in ONLY the courses they choose from Delta State University, Abraka in UTME.
  2. Inconsistency in name or picture on Photo Card will not be acceptable to the University and may lead to disqualification of defaulting candidates. Candidates’ names on their O’level Certificates, UTME results and other registration documents must be the same.
  3. Any person caught impersonating will be handed over to the police and the candidate impersonated will automatically be disqualified.
